I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather!! We have 5 more days of school for Pre-K. ?
*Mrs. Kane and I will be finishing up with Reading and Math assessments this week.
Reading– We will be reviewing all the uppercase and lowercase letters. We will be practicing writing our letters and name. We will clap out words to see how many syllables certain words have. We will continue to work with rhyming words.
Math- We will continue practicing adding and subtracting using manipulatives. We will continue practice writing our numbers. We will continue to learn the concept of more than and less than, and equal. We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow). We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20. We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has.
Religion-We will be reviewing what we have learned this year and continue practicing our prayers.
Science-We will be learning about their life cycle over the next couple of weeks as we observe their transformation into butterflies!! This week we will be continue learning about our five senses.
*Wednesday, June 5- Pre-K Graduation @10 am/Last day of school for Pre-K only!
*I know rest time can be challenging for the students who do not take naps any more. Students may have one stuffed animal that does not make noise and/or a book for rest time.
*Please remember library books are due on Mondays. If your child finishes their book before the following Monday, they may return it earlier.
*Please check your child’s folder daily.
