Week of 5/13

Hello Second Grade families,
I first want to send each one of you a HUGE thank you for making me feel so special and appreciated last week! I was so overwhelmed with all of the thoughtful presents, cards, lunch, tote bag, and etc that was given to me! I am so thankful to be able to work with your children everyday! I am also thankful for a wonderful and supportive group of parents as well!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday!
Congratulations to the second half of our 2nd grade class for receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion this weekend! I can not wait to see the whole class together this Friday at May Procession!
This week we will not have spelling due to the field trip Wednesday and May Procession on Friday. Please have your child wear their PE uniforms to the baseball trip on Wednesday. We will not have time for a morning snack, so please have your child eat a hearty breakfast. We will have an afternoon snack, so please pack a snack for when we return from the trip. Lunch will be provided at the Blue Crabs Stadium. Students who are reading in the May Procession will be coming home with a practice sheet of their reading today. Please practice this reading every night with your child. If your child is not reading, they will be bringing up gifts. Every student will have a part in the May Procession.
Thank you for turning in the white t-shirts, everyone has a shirt! If you have not turned in your $5 for the emblem, please do so by tomorrow. Strawberry Farm field trip and money is due this Wednesday, May 16th.
May Procession will begin at 9am. All parents are invited to come to mass and take part in the reception immediately following mass. Have your child come to school on Friday IN their First Communion outfit. If your child did not receive their Sacrament, have them wear a suit or a white dress. Please pack their PE uniforms so the students can change after the reception. Please pack your child a snack that they will not spill on themselves; such as goldfish, cheez its, etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns!
Have a wonderful week and pray for no rain on Friday!
Blessings,Brittany Buzzeo
