I hope everyone had a great weekend. ? Please send in permission slips for the Trike –a-thon if you want your child to participate. Graduation information went home today in your child’s daily folder.
Reading– We will be reviewing all the uppercase and lowercase letters. We will be practicing writing our letters and name. We will clap out words to see how many syllables certain words have. We will continue to work with rhyming words.
Math- We will continue practicing adding and subtracting using manipulatives. We will continue practice writing our numbers. We will continue to learn the concept of more than and less than, and equal. We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow). We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20. We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has.
Religion– We will introduce Lesson 17: God Cares for Us and All He Has Made. This is our last lesson in our religion book. We will continue to practice the Hail Mary, Our Father, the Sign of the Cross, the Glory Be, Guardian Angel Prayer, and genuflecting.
Science- Our caterpillars have arrived!! We will be learning about their life cycle over the next couple of weeks.
Social Studies– We will be talking about bike safety as we get ready for the St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon!!
*Wednesday, May 8- Trike-A-Thon @11-11:30am -Parents are welcome to come and watch. This day is an Early Dismissal.
*Friday, May 10-Kona Ice- Please send in order form and money if you would like your child to participate.
*Wednesday, June 5- Pre-K Graduation @10 am/Last day of school for Pre-K only!!
*I know rest time can be challenging for the students who do not take naps any more. Students may have one stuffed animal that does not make noise and/or a book for rest time.
*Please remember library books are due on Mondays. If your child finishes their book before the following Monday, they may return it earlier.
*Please check your child’s folder daily.
