March 11-15

Good Afternoon!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!  🙂 Please write on your calendars: Pre-K graduation is Friday, June 7 at 10am. This is the last day of school for Pre-K only. There will be more information to follow as we get closer.

We are starting our countdown to the last day of school for Pre-K!!  56 more days of school for Pre-K!!

We will use this week to get all students caught up with their work and review what we did last week.  We had so many students out sick last week, I don’t want anyone behind.

Reading   We will focus on Rr, Ss, and Tt.  We will continue letter and sound recognition. We will be practicing writing our letters and name. We will clap out words to see how many syllables certain words have.

Math- We will practice writing our numbers. We will continue to learn the concept of more than and less than.  We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow).  We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20.   We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has.

Religion– We will talk about what is Lent and why do we have Lent. We learn about Ash Wednesday and why we receive ashes on our foreheads. We will be going to visit the church to see the Stations of the Cross.  We will walk through each station and learn why it is important.  We will continue to practice the Hail Mary, Our Father, the Sign of the Cross, the Glory Be, Guardian Angel Prayer, and genuflecting.

Science- We will be reading about wind in “My Big World with Clifford” magazine.   We will do some experiments using wind.

*I know rest time can be challenging for the students who do not take naps any more. Students may have one stuffed animal that does not make noise and/or a book for rest time.  *Please remember library books are due on Mondays.  If your child finishes t
