8th Grade Homeroom

SMCPS will begin taking applications for the following Public School Academies on March 6th.  The deadline to have these applications submitted is April 19th.

Leonardtown High School: Wed. 3/6/19  6-7:30

Great Mills High School: Thursday 3/7/19 6-7:30

Chopticon High School: Thursday 3/14/19 6-7:30

The Confirmation Retreat will be March 25th and 26th.  More details to come.

8th Grade’s last day of school will be Thursday, May 30th.  Graduation will be on Monday, June 3rd.

I have created a Facebook group for our class.  It is a closed group where I will post pictures of the fun things we are doing at school.  If you would like to join the group, please look for Mrs. Engel’s 8th Grade.  This is just for parents/guardians.

6th Grade:

Reading: Study for Test.  The test will be Tuesday.  Use your study guide for help.

English: The rough draft for your Catholic Schools essay is due on Tuesday. You have already written your 3 body paragraphs. Now write your Introduction and Conclusion paragraphs. No, you do not have to put them in order.  SKIP LINES!  You will redo this if you don’t skip lines

7th Grade: 

Reading: Work on your study guide for the quiz on pages 1-80 . Quiz on Wednesday  

English: Your Catholic School essay rough draft is due on Tuesday and the final draft is due on Friday.

8th Grade:

Reading: Quiz on Unbroken parts 1 and 2 will be on Tuesday.  You were given a study guide to help you.

English: write the rough draft of the 3 body paragraphs for your Catholic Schools essay. SKIP LINES!  You will redo this if you don’t skip lines.
