8th Grade Homeroom
Our Mount Vernon field trip is finally here! A couple of details for the day:
-We will be departing SJS for Mount Vernon at 8:15, students and chaperones MUST be here NO LATER THAN 8:00. We will not hold the bus.
-We are scheduled to leave Mount Vernon to return to SJS at 12:45. With no traffic, that should put us back at SJS around 2:00ish.
-Students are to wear a SJS shirt/sweatshirt of their choice. Hoodies, fleeces and pullovers are all acceptable on this trip. They may wear their choice of warm bottoms. Please make sure to dress warmly as we will be spending the majority of our day outside. Hats, gloves, and scarves are encouraged. Students MUST have a jacket! With the recent snowfall, the ground does have the potential to be wet. Please make sure to wear shoes that are appropriate for this type of terrain. Wet shoes will make for a cold and miserable field trip.
-Students may bring their phone and chaperones are encouraged to have theirs as well. We will be using these for the scavenger hunt that we will be participating in tomorrow.
-Please pack a brown-bagged lunch. Also, please bring a snack for the ride up. In order to be most efficient with our time at Mount Vernon, we will be eating lunch on the bus during our return to school.
The Confirmation Retreat will be March 25th and 26th. More details to come.
8th Grade’s last day of school will be Thursday, May 30th. Graduation will be on Monday, June 3rd.
