Week of 12/3

Happy Tuesday all!!

I can not believe that we are in the first week of Advent! the first half of the school year is flying by!
There will be NO book report this month, as it is a short month! We also have began Child Protection. This is a religion unit that 1st and 2nd will be learning together. Mrs. Skane and I will be teaching the students stranger danger and personal safety. This will continue until next week. Tomorrow I will be out, as I have my last class!!! woohoo! Tomorrow will also be a half day and a tag day! Next Tuesday at 630pm will be the Advent Lessons and Carols in the gym. Next Friday, 1st and 2nd grade will be going to St. Clements Island for a field trip. We will leave at 810am and be back at school at 1215pm for lunch. This trip is to learn about the religious education of St. Mary’s County and the students will also get to see their Christmas trains display and have a story time. Please look for the field trip slips to be coming home this week!
This week we will have a spelling test on Friday and a math assessment on Friday. We are still continuing our Unit 4 assessment in Reading this week as well! We are also learning about Advent. Once we come back from Christmas break, we will be learning and practicing for Reconciliation!
Looking ahead to a few dates on the calendar:
