Good Evening!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! 🙂

Please label all of your child’s clothing (fleece jackets, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, etc.)    🙂

Reading   We will continue letter and sound recognition. We will be practicing writing our letters and name. We will continue Unit 5: Jingles, Poems, and Rhymes. We will continue to read different kinds of poems in this unit.

Math- We will continue to make AB color patterns (Ex. red, blue, red, blue).   We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow).  We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20.   We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has.  We will be practicing writing the numbers 6-10.

Religion– We will be starting Lesson 19: 1st Week of Advent-Preparing Our Hearts and Homes.  We have an Advent wreath in our classroom that we will light each day before we start Religion. We will be talking about St. Nicholas on Thursday which is his feast day. On Friday we will talk about Solemnity of The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary which is on Saturday. We will learn the Hail Mary prayer this week.  We will continue to practice the Our Father, the Sign of the Cross, the Glory Be, Guardian Angel Prayer, and genuflecting.

Social Studies– We will continue talking about community helpers.

Science-We will be using our senses to see if they can guess what is in the bag?

Tuesday, December 11-Advent Lessons and Carols- 6:30 pm

*I know rest time can be challenging for the students who do not take naps any more. Students may have one stuffed animal that does not make noise and/or a book for rest time.

*Please remember library books are due on Mondays.  If your child finishes their book before the following Monday, they may return it earlier.

*Please check your child’s folder daily.
