I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! We are now on the last full week of school before Thanksgiving, which means the holidays will be approaching quickly!
This week is Spirit Week- which means students may dress in the theme of the day. If your child does not dress in the theme, please wear school uniform. Friday there will be a pep rally at 10 am in the gym.
On Wednesday, we will be participating in the Operation Christmas Child. A letter along with items needed went home last week. Please bring in those items by Wednesday. It is for a very great cause and allows children to experience the gift of giving! Also on Wednesday, Pre K through 2nd grade will be attending a safety presentation in the gym.
Spelling and Super Kids assessment will be on Friday. Math assessment will be on Thursday. I apologize for not getting the weekly spelling words into the BEE Binders today- it has been a crazy day! Here are this weeks words: 1. draw 2. called 3. yawn 4. smallest 5. awful 6. today 7. chalk 8. away 9. walk 10. talk 11. fault 12. August. Please look for the spelling words in the BEE Binder tomorrow.
Matthew Quinn was chosen as this weeks student who gets to take home The Lady of Fatima Statue!
Please remember it is getting very chilly outside. Students MUST wear a jacket in order to go outside for recess. We are outside early in the morning for AM recess. This morning was 38 degrees at morning recess.
If your child is leaving school early before dismissal, please let me know in advanced. This allows for proper pack up time and for me to be able to have time to get all of the students work gathered.
Please also let me know in advanced if you are bringing in a treat for your child’s birthday. We have several allergies in the class.
Please remember Book Reports are due Nov. 30th.
Have a great week!
