Good Afternoon!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend

Here is what we will be doing in Pre-K this week ?.

Reading We will introduce Unit 3, “La Tortuga.”  La Tortuga is a story about a turtle that lives in Mexico.  We will be looking at a globe and seeing where Mexico is located.  I will be introducing the letters Ll and Ii this week.  We will focus on letter and sound recognition and how to write these letters.

Math- We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow).  We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20.  We will be practicing writing the number 3 and 4 this week.  We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has.

Religion– We will introduce Lesson 6:  God’s House-The Church.  We will continue to practice the Our Father, the Sign of the Cross, the Glory Be, and genuflecting.  We will be going over to visit the church on Wednesday.

Science– We will be talking about the seasons of the year and Fall.   Please send in any signs of fall you might see for our Science Center.



*Friday, October 19- Fall Festival (11am-2pm)– All parents are welcome and encouraged to come and enjoy the Fall Festival with their child!!

*Tuesday, October 30– Forrest Hall Farms Field Trip- Parents are welcome to meet us there. We will be at the farm 9:30- 11:30am. Field trip forms came home on Monday.

*Please remember library books are due on Mondays.  If your child finishes their book before the following Monday, they may return it earlier.

*Please check your child’s folder daily.

*We do provide snack every day, but if you choose to send a snack from home, please label the item as snack or put into a separate lunch box.  Some children are thinking they can eat their lunch for snack.
