Every morning, the staff of St. John’s School, gathers together to say this prayer just minutes before the children unload from the busses.
As a class, 4th graders say this every morning and know it by heart.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the Power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Chick Fil A spirit night has been rescheduled for April 18th!
I am offering an optional assignment for students in the area of religion. This is for students who would like to bring up their grade in religion. It is not mandatory and cannot hurt a student’s grade. The assignment is worth 100 points. Students must choose 5 stations from the packet given to them and answer the question in the packet according to each station. Each one is worth 20 points for a total of 100 points. ALL FIVE MUST BE DONE IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THE 100 POINTS. Students will be graded based on thoughtfulness of response, as well as correct grammar and punctuation. This will count as a test grade. Once again, it cannot count against a student if they choose to not do it. This is not extra credit, but it will be factored into the student’s grade as a test grade.
AR scores are current and up to date. As stated in my handout earlier in the year, AR is worth 20% of the reading goal in the 3rd and 4th quarter.
Students will need to pack a lunch this Friday. There will be no hot lunch.
TESTS FOR THE WEEK OF 3/19. ALL TESTS WILL BE GIVEN ON FRIDAY, 3/23.
