Good Evening!! I hope everyone stayed safe this weekend with those high winds! Please send your child in with their favorite book to read on Monday. I will have them share their favorite book on Monday.
Here is what your child will be doing in Pre-K this week!
Math– We will be using various objects to add/subtract with number less than five. We will be continue making guesses related to quantity (estimation). We will be focusing on what comes first, second, and third. We will continue creating AB patterns. We will practice writing our numbers. We will continue working on sorting. We will look at ways to group objects (size, color, and shape).
Reading– We will introduce Unit 8, The Tug of War. We will introduce the letters Rr, Ss, and Tt. We will practice letter and sound recognition for letters Aa-Tt.
Religion– We will introduce Lesson 14: Faith and Trust. We will read Scripture stories, Jesus Calms the Storm and Noah’s Ark. The focus this week will be faith and trust in God. Pre-K will learn what does having “faith” mean?
Science– We will continue with our sink or float lesson. We will be doing Clifford’s Big World Magazine on ducks. We will be talking about what animals have web feet.

*Library books are due on Mondays. If your child finishes reading their library book before Monday, they can turn it in earlier.
* Please remember to label your child’s clothing, chap stick, and hand sanitizer.
*Please try to dress your child appropriately for the weather. We go outside if it is above 32 degrees. I know it is hard when one day we are in the 60’s and then the next day we are in 30’s. ?
* Please only allow one stuff animal to come to school for rest time. Please
