Thank you for all your well wishes! I am definitely back on track.

Reminder: PLEASE return the form and payment for the field trip. IF you know in advance that you are not permitting your child to go, please advise us so that we do not purchase a museum ticket.

Gr 6 Voc/Spelling— Less 2 in vocabulary workbook is due Thursday ( no school Friday). They will get other 10 words tomorrow.  Test Monday.

Gr 6 Sci Please review the picture we were using in class today (found in the thin text book you have been lent) and write 3 observations (you may have valid  ones from today!) and write one inference. Also, explain the basis (reason) for your inference: facts you used and the past, reasonable knowledge you used to develop this inference. Please be studying the key terms. This is to be turned in to the  sci bin in my room tomorrow morning! Gr 6  Test will be next week.

Gr 7 Sci –STUDY! TEST is Thursday. On-line text no longer is available but student resources are (such as quizzes!) . Cut and paste the following into your browser. Then select Integrated science. Then level Green 2008. We are on Unit 1, Chapter 1 Nature of Science.

Remember–How are science and technology related? define science, define research, tell how they are connected, give specific concrete examples of that process (some historical, some modern).

Items related to archaeology–artifacts, the 3 types of studies, and details related to that.

Observation verses inferences– use notes sheet given

Purpose of trials, controls, variables in experimental design

Independent verses dependent–be clear on this.

Revisit and redo for points the graphic organizer and the question sets–this is a fantastic way to study!!!

Read over all handouts, the section reviews, the chapter study guide, the visualizing main ideas, and the chapter review.   Write, Write Write to memorize. Use index cards, 2/3, 1/3 method, and other techniques. Remember, studying was to start the very first night of the chapter.
