January 28-February 1 Good Evening!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!😊 There are many events going on this week! Please check the Catholic Schools Week Schedule each evening so your child will be able to participate in the events each day. Report cards will be ready Wednesday afternoon on Rediker Plus Portal. Mrs. Conroy sent the link to access Plus Portal at the beginning of the year. If you are unable to access Plus Portal contact Mrs. Conroy and she can send you the link. Please remember once you have logged into Plus Portal you must click on E-Locker to view your child’s report card. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s report card, please let me know. I would be happy to discuss your child’s progress with you. Reading- We will continue letter and sound recognition. We will be practicing writing our letters and name. We will continue Unit 7: The City Mouse and the Country Mouse. In this unit, we will focus on the letters Oo, Pp, and Qq. We will clap out words to see how many syllables certain words have. Math- We will make AB, ABB, and ABC patterns with linking cubes. We will continue to learn the parts of the calendar (days of the week, months of the year, yesterday, today, and tomorrow). We will be using manipulatives to count objects to 20. We will continue with drawing shapes and recognizing how many sides each shape has. We will be practicing writing the numbers 0-10. Religion- We will continue Lesson 11: Jesus is God the Son. We will continue to practice the Hail Mary, Our Father, the Sign of the Cross, the Glory Be, Guardian Angel Prayer, and genuflecting. Science-We will continue discussing winter and hibernation. We did not get to our science experiment last week, making snow in the sensory table so we will be doing that this week. *I know rest time can be challenging for the students who do not take naps any more. Students may have one stuffed animal that does not make noise and/or a book for rest time. *Please remember library books are due on Mondays. If your child finishes their book before the following Monday, they may return it earlier. *Please check your child’s folder daily.
