8th Grade Homeroom

Wednesday folders will be coming home tomorrow

The Confirmation Retreat will be March 25th and 26th.  More details to come.

8th Grade’s last day of school will be Thursday, May 30th.  Graduation will be on Monday, June 3rd.

I have created a Facebook group for our class.  It is a closed group where I will post pictures of the fun things we are doing at school.  If you would like to join the group, please look for Mrs. Engel’s 8th Grade.  This is just for parents/guardians.

Reading: Finish reading Part 5 of Wonder

English: Finish the 2 topic sentence worksheets you received in class today.  These worksheets, along with your Paragraph of the week are due on Friday.

 

7th Grade: Reading: please read chapters 10 and 11 for tomorrow

****It is time to purchase 7 Riddles to NoWhere by A.J. Catapan*** Please have this book with you in class by October 15th.

English: Imagine the animal you were writing about in English today has become a talking animal and has just run into its former owner.  Using the points you brainstormed in class, write a passage of dialog between the animal in questions and its former owner about what life was like for the animal when it worked for its owner.

8th Grade:    ***It is time to purchase To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.  Please have this in class by Monday, October 15th.***  If you have not finished A Single Bead, please do so by tomorrow.
