Good Morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! I hope your first day of leaning at home was a good one!! Please remember I am here to help you 🙂
7th grade: Lesson 72 Multiple Unit Multipliers: Khan Academy had a rates review assigned on there but this is what else you need to know for this unit is; multiplying by a unit multiplier is like multiplying by 1. The numbers may be different but they are the same value. For example 1yd/3ft; even though the numbers are different, they represent the same amount of length. So if you are going from ft^2 to yd^2, you need 2 unit multipliers. 🙂 Here is a reteaching sheet if you need extra practice. https://math8gwa.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/c3_r72.pdf Let me know if you need any help!!
6th grade: Lesson 72 Implied ratios. This is more practice with ratio boxes. However, you will notice that the word “ratio” doesn’t appear in the questions. When we talk about ratios in the real world, we don’t often use the word ratio..so this lesson is giving you real life application. Let me know if you need any help and remember to sign up for Khan Academy!
8th grade: Today we are working on the workbook for 7.3. Define and Use Zero and Negative Exponents. Please complete workbook problems 1-25. It is pretty easy and good practice. If you are ahead and you are completing 7.4, you only need to do the odd problems and for 7.5 just do the even problems 4-18. Don’t forget to sign up for Khan Academy. I will be adding some extra learning for topics we may not be able to complete by the end of the year. This will help those taking the math validation exam for SMR or other Catholic HS 😉 Let me know if you need any help.
Have a great day!!
